Dhaulpur District




Dhaulpur District is a new district of Rajasthan carved out of Bharatpur District. It is surrounded by Agra District of Uttar Pradesh in the north-east, Morena District of Madhya Pradesh in the south, Sawai Madhopur District in the west, and Bharatpur District in the north. Dhaulpur has a total area of 3,034 sq km with a population of around a million. It is one of the hottest places in Rajasthan. The average annual rainfall is about 67 cm. The major crops are bajra, paddy, sugarcane, wheat, barley, pulses, red chillies and guarseed.

The nearest airport is at Agra. Laswari, Muchchhkund, Shergarh Fort, Talab Shahi, Khanpur Mahal, Shiva Temple, Ramsagar Wildlife Sanctuary and Talab Shahi are the prime attractions.
