Beawar




Beawar is located at a distance of 54 km from Ajmer. Founded in 1836 as a military cantonment, the main feature of the town is the Badshahi procession festival. This festival is usually held after the famous Holi celebrations. A good network of roads link Beawar with other places in the state. Many shops, schools and hotels are located in Beawar. The town was also famed as Manchester of India on account of the trading activities. This picturesque place is a paradise for nature lovers. Beawar is bounded by the Aravalli, one of the oldest mountain ranges in India. The nearest airport and railway station are at Jaipur.
