Ferozepur District



Ferozepur District of Punjab, located on the Indo-Pakistan border, covers an area of about 4,302 sq km. The surface is almost plain except some few sand hills in the south and south-east.

There are many rice factories. The main crops are rice, wheat, barley, millet, gram, pulses, oilseeds, cotton, and tobacco. Ferozepur is also known for its cotton and wool weaving products. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial, Saragarhi Memorial Gurdwara, Jain Swetamber Temple, and Anglo-Sikh War Memorial Museum are the main tourist attractions.

Ferozepur District shares a 134-km border with Pakistan.
