Zira is the fourth largest town in
Ferozepur District,
Punjab. It is located 36 km north-east of the district headquarters,
Ferozepur and is 85 km south of
Amritsar.
Major attraction of the town is the beautiful Jain shwetambar Temple, noted for its ancient icons and wall paintings. Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Gurdwara Shri Singh Sabha, Arya Samaj Mandir and Harike Wildlife Sanctuary are some of the other spots worth visiting in the vicinity.
Nearest airport is at Amritsar. Ferozepur Railway Station serves Zira.
National Highway 15 passes through Zira.
