Located about 20 km north-east of
Jalandhar, Adampur is one of the 10 development blocks in
Jalandhar District. This is one of the important Indian Airbases under the Western Air Command. Adampur Airbase, situated on the
Sirhind -
Patiala road, houses about 70 combat aircrafts and is about 100 km east of the Pakistan border. Main attraction of this airbase is the 9000 ft long runway.
Gurdwara Baba Mati Sahib is another point of attraction in Adampur. Dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur, this Gurdwara attracts a large number of Sikh devotees.
Sirhind Junction Railway Station is about 5 km from here.
