Halwara is a village situated around 27 km south-west of Ludhiana in Punjab. It is on the Ludhiana-Raikot road, close to Sarabha and Pakhowal villages.
Halwara Air Force Station is located in this village. A major attraction is a war memorial obelisk in the airbase. Two old aircrafts are also put on show in the vicinity. Every year a ceremony is observed here on December 14th to commemorate the days of the fateful dogfight in the '65 and '71 Indo-Pak wars.
Ludhiana Airport serves this area. Ludhiana Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.
