Gurdwara Sri Chamkaur Sahib




Gurdwara Sri Chamkaur Sahib is situated at Chamkaur Sahib in Rupnagar District. It is built in memory of the historical battle between Guru Gobind Singh and the Mughal army. In the Gurdwara, there is a pillar, which is having inscriptions, describing the battle. Two sons of Guru Gobind Singh and 37 soldiers attained martyrdom in the battle. People assemble here in large numbers to attend the Shaheedi Jor Mela, in memory of their sacrifice.
