Rupana




Rupana is an ancient village situated on the Malot-Muktsar Road, 25 km north of Malot, in Muktsar District, Punjab. It is just 7 km south of the district headquarters, Muktsar.

Major point of attraction here is an 18th century Gurdwara, the Gurdwara Gurusar Sahib, associated with the tenth Guru – Guru Gobind Singh Ji. A big fair organized here on the 1st week of March is a big draw, attended by devotees from all over the district. Apart from this, Guru Nanak Jayanti and the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh are celebrated here amidst great pomp and merriment.

Rikab Ganj, Datan Sahib, Dukhbhajan Sahib and Tuti Gandhi Sahib Gurdwara are some other spots worth visiting.

Nearest airport is at Amritsar. Muktsar Railway Station serves Rupana.
