Gurdwara Keshgarh Sahib

Gurdwara Keshgarh Sahib, also known as Takht Keshgarh Sahib, is considered the most important shrine of Sikhs. It is situated at Anandpur Sahib, in Punjab. Gurdwara Keshgarh Sahib is one of the Takhts, the seat of authority of the Sikhs and it is the birthplace of the Khalsa.

The gurdwara stands majestically on a hill. The gurdwara preserves some of the weapons of Guru Gobind Singh, including the Khanda (double edged sword). There is a large spacious pavilion available for larger congregation.

The annual Hola Mohalla, celebrated in the month of March, is a major draw.

Gurdwara Keshgarh Sahib can be reached by bus from Anandpur Sahib Bus Station. Anandpur Sahib Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
