Sani Peyarchi, acknowledged as the
Kumbh Mela of
Pondicherry, is celebrated once in three years. It is held at
Saneeswara Temple, which is located in Tirunallar, near
Karaikal. Thousands of devotees assemble here on this occasion. The Saturn moves from one rasi to another on this day.
