Sri Aurobindo Ashram




Sri Aurobindo Ashram at Pondicherry was established by Sri Aurobindo. The Ashram attracts a large number of visitors. It contains the Samadhi (tomb) of Sri Aurobindo and Mirra Richard who is also known as Maa, the revered Mother. The Ashram comprises about 120 buildings in all. It has various facilities including library, publications and small industrial infrastructural facilities. The guesthouse of the Ashram provides comfortable accommodation. Sri Aurobindo Ashram organizes the International Yoga Festival held in January.
