Patnagarh, the erstwhile capital of the kingdom of Patna, is a headquarters town in Balangir District of Orissa. Major point of attraction here is the 14th century Pataneswari Temple, built by the first Chauhan king - Ramai Deo. The region is also noted for some ancient monuments.
Patnagarh is about 38 km west of Balangir. Balangir Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
