Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary




Located in Nayagarh District of Orissa, Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary is about 60 km from Nayagarh.

Extending over 166 sq km, the sanctuary borders the Mahanadi River along the Satkosia Gorge and lies in the Eastern Ghats. Besides elephants and tigers, the sanctuary shelters sambar, mouse deer and a variety of fauna including migratory and resident avifauna.

The best time to visit is from December to February.

Biju Patnaik Airport and Khurda Road Junction Railway Station provide easy accessibility.
