Gharial Sanctuary is situated at
Tikarpara, about 58 km from
Angul and 211 km from
Bhubaneswar, in
Orissa. Various species of flora and fauna are found around the forest and hills of Tikarpara village.
The best time to visit is from October to March.
Accommodation facilities are available in a Forest Rest House. Prior permission has to be taken from the forest officials if one wants to camp inside the sanctuary.
Angul Railway Station serves as the nearest railhead. The nearest airport is at Bhubaneswar.
