Chandaka




Chandaka is around 12 km from Khandagiri, in Khordha District. It is on the Cuttack-Khordha road, in the northern part of the district. Balianta is 15 km east and Katakiasahi is 12 km north. Bhubaneswar, the state capital, is just a few kilometers away.

Chandaka Elephant Reserve, a haven for elephants, sambhar, bears, wild dogs, pea fowls and pythons, is the prime attraction. The dense Chandaka forest is ideal for eco-tourism activities. Nandankanan Sanctuary, located amidst the beautiful environs of the Chandaka Forest, is nearby. The Kanjia Lake is located in the Chandaka Forest. Ample opportunities are available for boating, angling and white tiger safari.
