Bhubaneswar Bus Station is situated at Barmunda, 8 km from the city centre. It is connected to
National Highway 5. Buses ply from
Bhubaneswar to all towns and cities in the state. Regular services are available to
Berhampur,
Cuttack,
Konark,
Puri,
Paradip,
Rourkela and
Sambalpur. Interstate services operate frequently between
Kolkata and Puri via Bhubaneswar. Local services start from the old bus stand which is in Unit II (off Rajpath).
The nearest airport is the Bhubaneswar Airport (Biju Patnaik Airport), 3 km from the city centre. Bhubaneswar Railway Station, located in the city center, is a prominent station managed by
South Eastern Railways. It is connected to the rest of the country by express, super fast and passenger trains.
Lingaraj Temple, Parasuramesvera Temple, Orissa State Museum, Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves, and Rajarani Temple are prime attractions. Hotel Keshari, Hotel Kalinga Ashok, Hotel Siddhartha and Hotel Sishmo are nearby.
