Alupatna is a village in
Ganjam District of
Orissa. This village is located at the southern end of
Chilika Lake and houses the Chourbar Shiva Temple, which is dedicated to
Lord Shiva. Another noteworthy aspect about the village is the fresh water dolphins, which are sighted at the southern side channel of the lake.
Rajhans Island, a haven for the birds, crabs, dolphins, is located nearby. The nearest prominent town is Berhampur . Berhampur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
