Lodi Garden

Lodi Garden is located 3 km west of Humayun’s tomb in Delhi. The garden houses the tombs of the Saiyid and Lodhi rulers. Lady Willington, wife of the Viceroy of India, Lord Willington, modified the old one around the tombs and mosque. A disciple of Le Corbusier gave an amazing touch to the Lodi Garden with winding pathways, hedges, bamboo cluster and trees.

Today the garden is enriched with clumps of leafy tress, shrubs, flowerbeds and carpeted lawns. Although the garden threatened by the changing environment, it rests more on its popularity as a walking and picnic paradise. The garden is also crammed full with shopkeepers, hawkers, juice and ice cream sellers.

Lodi Garden contains tomb of Mohammed Shah, Mubarak Shah, Ibrahim Lodhi and Sikander Lodhi.
