Longwa

Longwa is one of the biggest villages in Mon District of Nagaland. It straddles on the India - Myanmar border. One-half of the Angh's (chief) houses fall within the Indian Territory and the other half lies in Myanmar.

Angh and the village Council Chairman control the whole village. The interesting feature is that the Angh of the village has 60 wives and his jurisdiction extends up to Myanmar and Arunachal Pradesh. Nearest railhead is Simaluguri Junction Railway Station in Assam.
