Angami is a tribe in the state of
Nagaland. Angami tribal villages have traditional wooden gates. The Angamis of Kohima call the Mao tribes, Shipfumei. Angamis have similarities with the
Maram Tribe and also intermarry with them. The colour combination and designs of their shawls are widely used by the Maram tribe.
Sekrenyi, a 10 day festival celebrated in the month of February is their major festival.
