Situated at an altitude of 914 m above mean sea level, Sangau is a hilly village in the south-eastern part of Mizoram. This village is blessed with natural beauty. Pleasant and equable warm climate prevails in the village. Sangau village is close to Phawngpui National Park. This is the base village for Phawngpui. Forest rest house at Sangau provides accommodation for tourists.
Sangau is around 230 km from Aizawl, via Hnahthial.
