Saiha




Saiha is the capital town of the Maraland Autonomous District Council in South Mizoram. This town is a picturesque hill station, in the north of Maraland. Saiha lies 360 km south of Aizawl and is 125 km from Lunglei. Apart from Aizawl and Lunglei, this town is the most populated and developed town. It is also significant, being the capital of the third largest tribe, the Maras. There is a helipad offering helicopter services and near the helipad is the Tourist Lodge built and run by the State Government of Mizoram, an ideal place for accommodation. The major attraction is the Lake Palak which is 45 km from this town.

The nearest railway station is Silchar Railway Station and the nearest airport is the Lengpui Airport.
