Mutua Museum




Mutua Museum, established in 1978, is situated at Keishampat Junction, in Imphal, the capital city of Manipur. The museum exhibits bell metal coins of Manipur, local coins of adjoining states, paintings of Hindu pantheon, Buddhist elements and fine earthenware potteries of Nungbi, Chairen and Andro villages.

The museum also has a fabulous collection of various inscriptions of different tribes and musical instruments of various tribal communities of Manipur. The paintings of Shri Bhadra, the court painter of Maharaja Churach, is an eye catching one.

Mutua Museum is open from 10:00 to 16:30 hrs on all days except Tuesdays.
