Kaina

Kaina, also spelt Koina, is one among the places of faith and worship of Hindus in Imphal West District. This hillock is about 29 km from Imphal, the capital city of Manipur.

The mound is situated at an altitude of 1000 ft above the sea level. The atmosphere that surrounds the hillock is best suited to relax oneself away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

The important attraction of the place is a temple dedicated to Shri Govindaji. It was built by the Maharaja Jai Singh, who was a disciple of Govindaji. The shrine is carved out in a jack fruit tree.

Imphal Airport is the closest airport and Dimapur Railway Station is the nearest railhead, 215 km away from Imphal.
