Shivarajeshwar Temple

Shivarajeshwar Temple is a unique shrine, situated near Malvan in Sindhudurg District. It stands on a high plinth and is believed to have been built by Rajaram – the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji – in memory of his father.

The highlight here is a black stone idol of Shivaji, with a metal mask. It is covered in a red robe adorned with golden thread. Besides, a double-edged sword, once used by Shivaji, can be seen here.
