Shirpur




Shirpur is a taluk headquarters town in Dhule District, situated in the beautiful valleys of Satpuda hills. Shirpur is 52 km north of Dhule and 25 km north of Nardana. Mumbai is 400 km south.

The largest gold refinery in Asia, Shirpur Gold Refinery is located here. Another attraction is the 120-year-old Balaji Temple. Anerdam Wildlife Sanctuary is also worth visiting. Antariksh Teerth, a Jain temple, is located on the outskirts of Shirpur.

There are buses from Shirpur Bus Station to Dhule, Sendhwa, Chopda and Sindhkeda. Nardana Railway Station is the nearest rail access. Aurangabad Airport, 215 km away, is the nearest airport.
