Shirala




Shirala is the headquarters of a taluk in Sangli District. It is situated 17 km south-west of Islampur and 10 km east of Bilashi.

Panhala, Jyotiba Hill and Aagashiva Hills are places of tourist interest in the area. Sagareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary and Chandoli Wildlife Sanctuary (55 km) are two popular wildlife getaways accessible from Shirala.

Pune Lohegaon Airport and Karad Railway Station serve Shirala.
