Located at a distance of 9 kms from Satara, Sajjangad Fort was the spiritual capital of Shivshahi during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji. It is the place where
Samarth Ramdas had his Samadhi. 750 steps leads to the entrance of the fort located 3000 feet above sea level. There are two reservoirs inside the fort. On Das Navami day, marking the birth of the Guru, people from all over gather at the fort to celebrate the festival.
