Radhanagari Dam




Radhanagari Dam, constructed by Shahu Maharaj the ruler of Kolhapur State, is located in Kolhapur District of Maharashtra. Constructed across Bhogawati River, this century old dam is used mainly for irrigation and power generation. The dam is 1037 m long, covering 11000 hectares of wooded hills surrounding it. There is a hydroelectric project with an installed capacity of 10 MW.

The nearest railway station is at Kolhapur and the nearest airport is situated at Belgaum.
