Sadashiv Peth




One of the important places in Pune, Sadashiv Peth was named after Sadahivrao Bhau, who died in the war of Panipat. Earlier it was famous as an area inhabited by military soldiers. Today most of the families are Brahmins.

Some of the famous places over here are Khunya Murlidhar Temple, Vishrambaug Wada, Saras Baug, Nehru Stadium, Bhikardas Maruti Temple and Talyatala Ganapati Temple. Many old Wada’s, educational and cultural institutes are also found here.
