Peshwe Park




Peshwe Park, also known as Peshwe Udyan Zoo, is located adjoining the Saras Baug, in Pune, Maharashtra. Situated right next to Parvati Hill, it is a very large park with an attached zoo and an amusement park.

The park was once a shikharkhana for the Peshwas, hence the name Peshwe Park. It was later converted into a zoo and recreation spot by the Pune Municipal Corporation.

Peshwe Park has a beautiful lake with boating facilities, animal rides and a play park. It offers a toy-train ride, for children. The zoo is home to a wide variety of wildlife including one male and two female white tigers, deer, bucks, elephant and various species of colourful birds.

Peshwe Park has become a popular place for evening walkers and hangouts for adults and young alike.

The park is open to the public from 08:00 to 12:00 hrs and 15:30 to 18:30 hrs.
