Katraj Snake Park




Katraj Snake Park is situated at Katraj, on Pune-Satara Highway, about eight km from Pune, in Maharashtra. Established in 1986, the park has a collection of reptiles, birds and turtles.

The park features over 160 species of snakes. Major point of attraction here is the nine feet long King Cobra, brought from Sunderbans. The park is home to a Brown Palm Civet which according to the records, is the only captive specimen in the world.

The park has recently added a zoo.

Katraj Garden, situated nearby, is worth visiting.

Katraj Snake Park remains open from 10:00 to 13:30 hrs and 15:00 to 17:30 hrs.
