Victoria and Albert Museum




Victoria and Albert Museum, also known as Veermata Jeejamata Museum, is housed in the Victoria garden, situated in Byculla - a suburb of Mumbai, in Maharashtra. The museum exhibits archaeological finds, maps and photographs depicting the history of Mumbai. There is a huge rock cut elephant statue, which was brought by the British in 1865 from Elephanta Island. The Botanic Garden is located nearby.

The museum functions from 9:00 to 17:30 hrs daily and remains closed on Wednesdays.
