Mahim Shrine




Mahim Shrine, the famous shrine of Makhtum Fakir Ali Paru, is located at Mahim in Mumbai. Fakir was famous for his commentary on holy Koran.

The dargah, made of stone and mortar, stands on a stonework plinth and has two entrances. A large rounded roof crowns the shrine with four small domes, topping four minarets at each corner. The northern part of the shrine has a wooden mosque.

Mahim is about 13 km from Churchgate. Mahim Railway Station is the nearest local station. Nearest major railhead is Bandra Terminus Railway Station.
