Grishneshwar




Grishneshwar is an ancient pilgrim site located just 11 km from Daulatabad, near Aurangabad, in Maharashtra. The place is noted for the gigantic Grishneshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Grishneshwar, also known as Ghushmeshwar, derives its name after the temple.

The annual fair, Ellora Yatra, held here during Shivratri, draws thousands of people.

The UNESCO certified World Heritage Site, Ellora Caves is a kilometer away from here.
