Dhak Bahiri

Dhak Bahiri is a favorite tourist destination in the Lonavala region of Maharashtra. It is a well-known pilgrimage center which also has historical importance. It is situated at an altitude of 4200 feet. This hillock juts out from the main range of the Western Ghats between Rajmachi and Dhak.

Dhak Bahiri has a fort with a circular summit and commands an excellent view of Rajmachi and Ulhas valley. The base village is Kundleshwar. It is a popular place to visit with many natural caves and a popular temple of the tribals of the region.

The caves at Dhak Bahiri are spacious with ample fresh water supply which is quite surprising at such a location. The best season to visit the area is from October to April.
