Chimur




Located to the north-east of Chandrapur, Chimur is a taluk headquarters town in Chandrapur District of Maharashtra. Chimur lies on the Warora – Bhiwapur route and is 53 km north-east of Warora. It is 10 km south-west of Jambulghata and 32 km north of Tadoba. Kolara is 10 km south and Bhisi is 12 km north.

Chimur Mini Industrial Area is one of the finest industrial areas in the region. Chimur Forest Range, on the Chimur-Warora route, is abundant in tigers. Tadoba - Andharai Tiger Reserve, Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary and Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary are some of the points of interest, within easy access of Chimur.

There are regular buses from Chimur Bus Station to Chandrapur, Nagbhir, Brahmapuri and Warora. Sonegaon Airport, about 80 km away, is the nearest airport. Nagbhir Junction Railway Station and Warora Railway Station serve as the nearest railheads.
