Mumbai Suburban District




Mumbai Suburban District has an area of 446 sq km. The town of Bandra is the headquarters. It has a population of about 8 million. Mumbai Suburban District receives an average rainfall of about 242 cm and the temperature varies from 22o C to 31o C. It has a high literacy rate of over 87 percent. Major tourist destinations around the district are Juhu Beach, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Marve Beach, Manori Beach and Goregaon Film City.
