Located at an altitude of 1036 ft, Sandia is a small settlement in Hoshangabad District of Madhya Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the sacred river Narmada, about 13 km north-east of Sobhapur. Hoshangabad, the administrative headquarters of the district, is 62 km west.
