Barnagar




Barnagar is a small town in Ujjain District of Madhya Pradesh. Situated in the south-western part of the district, about 13 km north-east of Badnawar and about 45 km south-west of Ujjain, it is one of the prominent towns in the Chambal Valley.

A 400 year old Jain temple of God Koteshwar is the major attraction. Handicraft and silverware market is also a worth visiting spot there.

Shri Badnawar Teerth, Ujjain Observatory, Gadkalika Temple, Sthirman Ganesh Temple and Depalpur are some of the tourist destinations around Barnagar.

Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport and Barnagar Railway Station serve the town.
