Punasa




Punasa, also called Punasa Nagar, is a charming village located on the Harsud - Khargone road, in Khandwa District of Madhya Pradesh. Situated about 70 km north of Khandwa, it is a major forest area and prominent tourist destination in the district.

Punasa Dam (5 km) is the major attraction here. There is also a 12 m high waterfall. Punasa Forest, home to teak, sain and anjan trees, extends for about 190 km along the south bank of the Narmada River.

The nearest airport is Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport. Mhow Railway Station and Khandwa Railway Station serve Punasa.
