Peshwa Baji Rao I



Peshwa Baji Rao I born in 1698, was a Maratha king who liberated India from Muslim rule in 1737. He fought 36 battles, never facing defeat. After Chhatrapati Shivaji, Baji Rao I was the biggest setback for the Muslim invasion of India. Baji Rao revived Hinduism during that period. He died in 1740.
