Mahanagari Express runs between Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Railway Station in Maharashtra and Varanasi Junction Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh. (The Indian word ‘mahanagari’ means ‘great city.’) The train touches the towns of Thane, Nasik, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Allahabad, Vindhyachal and Mirzapur on the way. It covers a distance of 1,537 km. Second A/C, third A/C and sleeper class coaches are available.

Train number 1093: Mumbai to Varanasi, leaves Mumbai at 00:10 hrs.
Train number 1094: Varanasi to Mumbai, leaves Varanasi at 11:30 hrs.
