Moni Dance




Moni is a folk dance native to Sagar District of Madhya Pradesh. This dance has a religious significance to it.

The name ‘moni’ actually refers to the practice of observing silence throughout the day, when this dance is performed. This dance also forms an important part of a function, where it is displayed to portray the rich cultural heritage of the region.
