Daltonganj, the headquarters of Palamu District, is a major town to visit. The state highway connecting Aksi and Barwadih passes nearby. Murwakalani, Chhipadohar, Ker and Hemegar are located around Mandu.

Regular buses from Barwadih are available to Mandu. Ranchi airport and Barwadih Junction Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.
