Kasrawad




Kasrawad is a taluk headquarters town in Khargone District of western Madhya Pradesh. The town is situated on the banks of the Narmada, about 12 km east of Maheshwar and 34 km north of Khargone. Indore is 98 km away from Kasrawad.

An ashram of Baba Amte, one of the prominent humanitarians and social workers in India, is located here.

Peshawar Ghat, Fanase Ghat and Ahilya Fort at Maheshwar, Chool Giri, and a palace, built by Tukoji Rao Holkar II at Mandleshwar are some of the major tourist destinations.

The nearest airport is Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport. Khandwa Railway Station serves Kasrawad.
