Mandana




Mandana is a decorative craft of the Malwa, Nimar, and Tanwarghar regions of Madhya Pradesh. A mixture of red clay and cow dung is used as base material to smear the surface against which white drawings stand out in contrast. Motifs of this style are peacocks, cats, lions, goojari, bawari, swastik and chowk.
