Khalghat




Khalghat is a taluk headquarters town in the Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh, about 45 km south of Sardarpur. Situated in the south-eastern region of the district, it is one of the prominent towns in the Narmada Valley. A huge artificial bridge over the Narmada River is the major landmark.

Bagh Caves (8 km), Sardarpur Sanctuary, ancient monuments at Badnawar and the historic sites around Indore constitute excursions outside the town.

The nearest airport is Devi Ahilya Bai Holeker Airport. Indore Junction BG Railway Station and Indore Junction MG Railway Station are the closest railheads.
