Rangwan Dam




Rangwan Dam is a major dam situated in Chhatarpur District. Constructed on the Banne River, a tributary of the Ken River, this dam is the main source for irrigation in Panna and Chhatarpur. Rangwan Dam has a capacity of 152.14 MCM (thousand million cubic feet). In order to feed Bariyarpur, a canal of 25 km has been completed here. This dam was built by the government of Uttar Pradesh. The available water is distributed between the two states in the agreed ratio. Civil Airport Khajuraho is the nearest airport.
