Katni District




Katni District is situated in the north-eastern part of Madhya Pradesh. The total area is 4,950 sq km. The major tourist locations are Dhimarkhera, Bahoriband, Murwara, and Karondi. The Mudwara Katni, Chhoti Mahanadi and Umdar are three main rivers.

The climate is moderate. Slimnabad, a village located here is famous for its marbles. Katni is also known as the city of lime because it is rich in reserves of limestone.
